– Lauren & Ric.
Q: Will CREEPY CAT be at the wedding?
A: We sure hope so!
Q: Can I bring a guest?
A: With all the craziness that comes with a wedding, we would love to spend as much time as possible with our closest and dearest. We are working really hard to create a small, intimate celebration featuring all of our most important people. We will not be able to accommodate additional guests not invited. If you have a question about this please call or email. Thanks for understanding.
Q: What should I wear to the wedding?
A: No strict dress code but please no jeans or t-shirts. Smart-casual.
The entire event is indoors. We can not be sure of how cold AC may be and if a light sweater may be needed, but we can promise you dancing will help with that.
Ladies: Women can wear trousers, a dress, or a skirt with a pretty top. Nice sandals are appropriate.
Gents: Casual trousers/slacks, button-down dress shirt (short or long sleeve), and optional jacket and tie (bowties are cool). And yes, sweater vest are always smiled upon, but it may be a little warm for anything too heavy.
All: But in any case, if you plan on being more dressy for the ceremony, we recommend you bring more comfortable shoes for the dancing at the reception. Ladies: I promise, the fashion police will not show up and take you away for wearing sneakers with your dress.

A: The ceremony and reception are both at the museum. When you arrive, you will be escorted towards the ceremony location and will see where the reception is at the same time.
Q: Is there a bar?
A: The museum is supplying the bartending. Beer and wine only. We do not have an exact list of the selection.
Q: What drinks will be provided?
A: Lemonade, Sweet Tea, Un-sweet Tea and Water.
Q: What if I am on a special diet?
A: Due to the catering decision we have made, we will not be able to make special arrangements for food.
Q: Who is “ELLE”?
A: Elle is Lauren. It’s a nickname given by Ric and well known by most friends. There is a good chance some people I have met in the last few years (and are not personal friends with) may not even know my real name is Lauren. (answered by Lauren)
Q: Why May 25th?
A: It’s the Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend. This will cater to family and friends traveling from out of state, hoping that it may even give them extra time to saty in town and relax due to the holiday. It’s also GEEK PRIDE DAY. What better day for two nerds to get married!?!
Q: What are some nerdy/geeky facts about our wedding date?
A: GEEK PRIDE DAY; Penumbral Lunar Eclipse (the second lunar eclise in 2013); Full Moon; Star Wars Day: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope opened in theaters on this day in 1977 (Note: May 4th is another day for celebration for Star Wars).
Q: Will the museum’s galleries be open during the wedding?
A: No, they will not be. The wedding is being held after hours. If you want to visit the museum, you can check it out during normal business hours before or after the wedding.
